The Lifetime Achievement Award this year presented by The British Blues Awards but chosen by Fran Leslie (Editor Blues in Britain) has gone to Paul Jones for the fantastic work he has done for British blues over the last 50 years, perhaps his only mistake was turning down the offer of joining Keith Richards & Brian Jones to front their new band The Rolling Stones, or was it?

Having played with most of the greats he now plays their songs every Monday evening on Radio 2 along with the thousands of acts still coming out of the USA and of course the UK, always giving up and coming bands & artists the opportunity to feature on his show.

In 2010 & 2011 Paul secured The Harmonica Player of the Year Award taking the most votes from a very strong list of nominees.

Congratulations Paul Jones
